Much to my chagrin, dictionary dot com
decided to update their app and website.
Doing so they basically did away
with thesaurus dot com and
the synonym of the day.
No Way! I shuddered.
This can't be!
Synonym of the day was an integral part
of how I broke my block.
That combined with 2 words of the day
helped me out a lot!
I emailed them and received a reply.
They just glozed over the reasons why
they made the change. I rolled my eyes
til they were out of range of my angst.
What was I to do? Become a sleuth
and work my way through
a steady stream of apps
looking for one that may offer
what they used to.
Oh yes I know, I know.
I could go to their IG
blindly pick a picture,
place my finger anywhere.
(Suffice it to say timely daily posts
is wasted on the youth.)
Despite the update infringing upon
my creative mind I was still
able to find a wraparound.
Here we are! Hoo-ray!
A new block averted, for now.
Me, pleasantly relieved and pleased
that I found a way to get my own
synonym of the day.
And that concludes my rant of disappointment
over the poor decision making at dictionary dot com.✌️
