I love my library card

Oh ’twas a sad day when I learned that the overdrive phone app would soon be going away. It was/is my favorite app. I had even turned some friends on to it along with the benefits of having our local library card.

Like not only can you read books you also have access to some great movies and documentaries through Kanopy. It also gives you access to a number of learning portals. I have an account with linkedin learning aka Lynda.

But of the above, Overdrive was the benefit I used the most. I recently downloaded Libby and am still trying to get used to it. Shouldn’t be hard as they are owned by the same company, right. However, I see that I won’t have access to my previous download history. I enjoyed some of those books immensely.

Circe and the Daevabad trilogy were thrilling to me and books I would and will read again. I was also able to follow my favorite detectives Harry Bosch and Alex Cross. Currently I’m reacquainting myself with Carl Hiassen. As I finish writing this other authors and series come to mind… think I’ll sign off and go make a wish list. ✌️
